We hope everyone is getting through these challenging times with faith and strength. Our clients are working hard at staying calm and safe with regular phone calls to our staff and occasionally meeting us in the office. Two of our clients have had a very difficult time with one falling off the wagon after a year and a half and another receiving a diagnosis of lung cancer. It’s really not unusual for a chronically homeless person to suddenly find out they have a serious illness after becoming housed. When they are in survival mode on the streets, health issues get ignored.  Once housed and supported by case managers they receive better health care. It’s not unusual to find out that they have issues. The client who slipped in his recovery allowed some negative people to share his home; influencing his lifestyle. Now that they are gone, he has since started over and trying to stay busy; maintaining his positive attitude. The agency has continued to support as many people as we can and we still are working to meet the needs as they arise.

We hope you and your families are remaining safe and healthy.

The following devotion has always been my favorite and I have referred to it several times in the last months. Psalm 91
