Thank you to everyone who has donated to the agency. Your response was just over whelming to me and the staff. We have not had to decrease any services and are looking forward to a successful year. The church sermon yesterday was based on Matthew 3: 1-12 and focused on living our lives as if we are the “good fruit of the vine”. You are certainly living as the good fruit of the vine!
The client I wrote about last month was able to follow through with his testing and it was identified that his problem was not an abscessed tooth! Good news but, getting the report to his Primary Care doctor turned out to be difficult and then getting them to pay attention and follow through with communicating with the back specialist was even more challenging. This client is difficult to understand when he speaks, is a little different in his ability to communicate with others and because he has asked many questions of the medical staff there is a tendency for them to ignore him. As a medical person I understand their side but, as an advocate for this client, I get frustrated with their treatment of him. We continue to work to get his back pain addressed. Please keep him in your prayers.
We here at H.O.P.E., Inc. are looking forward to the coming Christmas holiday and wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year!
