It’s a new year and this time of year I become rather retrospective. We have helped a lot of people this past year and I believe we really made a positive difference in their lives. There’s the man who came to us in early spring with major attitude. He was angry at the world and himself and not an easy person to deal with. We got him into “The System”, both Social Service and medical care. We were able to document his history and within a couple of months he was housed by the City of Salisbury. Another lady who had been an abuse situation in another community came to us without any documentation (her spouse had destroyed everything) and was at her wits end trying to get back on her feet. It took six different agencies to collaborate but she too became housed and employed.
These are a few of our success stories but, it shows that thanks to your support, H.O.P.E., Inc. is helping people find a way to become productive members of our community. Several of our clients are “paying it back” through helping us here at the office keeping things clean and neat. Working here at the agency we can feel God at work when we are assisting them and there is no better feeling. That’s what keeps us coming back each week.
We hope you had a wonderful holiday and your new year is full of success.
If you get a chance read Psalm 18.
